DAD Bookbinders was started in 1981 by Morton Downie in Baltic Chambers in Glasgow following his apprenticeship in Sinclair Wilson and a number of years working for Harper Collins.

The company grew over the years and had many homes around Glasgow and for the past 15 years has settled in Partick, in Glasgow's West End.

In 2012, the business was taken over by Morton's daughter Lesley-Anne and son-in-law, Robin Mitchell alongside business partner John Allison.

The business has grown a solid reputation over the years for its high level of customer service and a great quality of product.

Our dedicated team are fully trained in all aspects of bookbinding, setting us apart from others in our field. We therefore work with everything from Library Special Collections to one off books for individuals and artists.
